Shadow-legs spread open,
a thrust up. Deep green leaves

flare wide, a further in
-vitation to the pink.

Crimson ripples round, round --
creamy cherry butter.

You, giddy from tea scent,
reach out, stroke the red throat

as petals sing their bird song
touch me touch me touch
